Happy “Make it” Monday!
Spring is almost here and what better way to celebrate than to draw, paint or make something with your little one.
Today I wanted to share with you the Spring-inspired art that Dahlia and I created at Scribble Me Happy when she was younger in San Mateo, Ca. I happened to stumble upon this store when I was pregnant & walked by and thought it was just a store, but it actually is a place that has a variety of classes to take like Mommy & Me classes to Paper mache for kids and Adult workshops like glass etching. They also sell a bunch of local items, art and clothing as well!
The Mommy & Me classes are currently held on Tuesdays/Wednesdays from 10:15a – 11a. Classes cost $18 for members and $20 for non-members. Whatever you will be making will be related to the season or upcoming events. They provide all the art supplies as well as a smock for the kids to wear and cover all the tables so the kids don’t get too out of hand.

Then, we received paint to make grass…
And received blue paint to make the sky.
Then, we made lovely colorful flowers…
…and painted a paper plate gray to make the elephant.
Lastly, they gave us stickers to apply for some final touches.
This was a great way for me to expose Dahlia to painting without getting anything in our own home messy. I’m definitely coming back to bring her for more classes when she’s older and I’d love to come to take their Adult classes as well.
Check out their upcoming schedule:
