Hope everyone had a ful-filling Thanksgiving! This year, our family craft was making these super cute felt trees perfect for decorating your home or even to make your work desk festive.
Here’s what you’ll need:
- Felt (rustic colors: green, grey, mustard, cream, etc.)
- Twigs (yes – I literally went to the park and picked up twigs for this craft)
- Fabric scissors
- Paper
- Drill
- Circular wooden pieces (found at Michael’s)
- Hot Glue Gun
Here’s what to do:
- Fold your piece of paper in half and draw half a Christmas tree then cut.
- Do the same thing with your felt. Fold in half, draw the tree using your paper stencil and cut.
- Repeat process with 2 to 3 pieces of felt paper to end up with 4 to 6 pieces of felt Christmas trees. (You can try to reuse felt to end up with more pieces.)
- Grab your twig and use the hot glue gun to fold and glue the felt tree. Basically, glue the felt tree how you want it to look.
- Then, glue 2 to 3 pieces of the wooden circular pieces together depending on the heaviness of your tree and twig.
- Drill a hole the size of your twig on the glued circular pieces.
- Apply hot glue inside the drilled hole and place the twig inside.
- Add ons: You can also make a star out of felt to top or make ornaments too!
- Voila + Happy Making!
